September brings a Bordeaux-focused Wine Guide, a Mid-Autumn Festival sommelier selection, three tastings on the calendar, and a run of weekly spotlights carrying us through to the end of the month. Here's everything to know.
Spotlight on Bordeaux
This month we're taking a deep dive into some of our favourite Bordeaux estates and the families behind them, spanning both the Right Bank and the Left Bank:
- Le Puy — biodynamic, old-vine Bordeaux from a single family that has never used chemical treatments on its vines.
- Chateau l'Escadre — a Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux estate with a new vintage just landed (see below).
- The Mitjavile Family, across Domaine de l'Aurage, Chateau Roc de Cambes and Chateau Tertre Roteboeuf.
- The Vauthier Family, across Chateau Simard, Chateau de Fonbel, Chapelle d'Ausone and Chateau La Clotte.

Three cuvees from Chateau l'Escadre have just arrived in the new 2022 vintage, including a brand new wine to the range:
