The Domain
Based in Premeaux-Prissey, the village just south of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Domaine Truchetet is a family estate now run by siblings Morgan and Julie Truchetet.
The new generation has given the domaine a clear direction: organic viticulture, careful work in the vines and a precise, terroir-driven approach in the cellar. Their holdings span Bourgogne, Hautes-Côtes de Nuits and Nuits-Saint-Georges, a complete picture of this corner of the Côte de Nuits.
Praised for their purity and balance, the wines are increasingly sought after by sommeliers and collectors looking for the next generation of Burgundy talent.
The Style
Truchetet's wines are about finesse rather than power. The Pinot Noirs show bright red fruit, fine tannins and a fresh, savoury finish, while the Chardonnays are taut and mineral with a light touch of oak.
Production is small, and each cuvée is made to express its own plot, from the cool freshness of the Hautes-Côtes to the depth and structure of Nuits-Saint-Georges.
The result is a range of elegant, digestible Burgundies that are enjoyable young yet reward a few years in the cellar.
