Chateau Guiraud

Taking its name from the Guiraud family who acquired the estate in 1766 — until then known simply as La Maison Noble du Bayle — Château Guiraud today spans some 110 hectares of vines on the gravel-and-sand terraces of the Sauternes commune. Ranked a Premier Cru Classé in the historic 1855 Classification, the estate is distinguished by a blend leaning unusually heavily on Sauvignon Blanc alongside Sémillon, and has been certified organic since 2011.
