Marsannay

Granted AOC status in 1987, Marsannay is the youngest of the Côte de Nuits' communal appellations, its roughly 227 hectares forming the subregion's northern gateway on the outskirts of Dijon. It holds a unique distinction in Burgundy as the only village appellation permitted to produce a rosé under its own name, alongside reds and whites, though as yet it carries no Grand or Premier Cru classification.
