Wine from Beaujolais
The Beaujolais region, located just south of Burgundy, is celebrated for its vibrant and versatile wines crafted primarily from the Gamay grape. Known for their expressive fruit, silky textures, and food-friendly character, Beaujolais wines are increasingly admired by sommeliers, collectors, and fine dining establishments in Hong Kong.
At the entry level, Beaujolais AOC and Beaujolais-Villages deliver fresh, juicy reds perfect for everyday enjoyment. The region’s true distinction lies in its ten renowned Crus—including Morgon, Fleurie, Moulin-à-Vent, Brouilly, and Chiroubles—each showcasing a unique expression of terroir, from structured and age-worthy to floral and elegant.
Beaujolais also offers a spectrum of styles beyond its iconic reds, with crisp whites made from Chardonnay and refreshing rosés that highlight the region’s diversity. Once known mainly for Beaujolais Nouveau, the region today produces some of France’s most exciting terroir-driven wines, bridging immediate drinkability with remarkable potential for aging.
