Jura Wine

Arbois became one of France's very first AOCs in 1936, anchoring a small, singular wine region that today covers barely 2,000 hectares in the hills between Burgundy and Switzerland. Jura's relative isolation preserved rare native grapes found almost nowhere else — Savagnin, Poulsard and Trousseau — and a winemaking tradition built around the oxidative Vin Jaune, aged under a veil of yeast before bottling in the region's distinctive 620ml clavelin.
