Pommard

Granted AOC status in 1937, Pommard is a red wine village of the Côte de Beaune lying between Volnay and Beaune, its vineyards spread across some 320 hectares of clay-rich soil. The appellation holds no Grand Cru vineyards but counts 27 Premier Cru climats, among them the celebrated Les Rugiens and Les Épenots, and is prized for producing some of Burgundy's most robust, structured and long-ageing red wines from Pinot Noir alone. Among the great wines of Pommard, you will find in particular Chateau de Meursault Pommard 'Clos de la Platiere' 2018 and Chateau de Meursault Pommard 1er Cru 'Clos de la Platiere' Red 2020 and more at The Vintage Wine Club Hong Kong.
