Meursault

Granted AOC status in 1937, Meursault is one of the Côte de Beaune's largest and most celebrated white wine villages, its vineyards covering close to 400 hectares between Volnay and Puligny-Montrachet. The appellation holds no Grand Cru vineyards but is home to a string of outstanding Premier Cru climats such as Les Perrières and Les Charmes, and its Chardonnay, marked by a rich, buttery character from oak ageing and malolactic fermentation, is regarded as among the finest white Burgundy has to offer.
