Chateau Beychevelle

Its name drawn from the old Gascon 'Baisse Voile' — a naval salute once required of ships passing the estate — Château Beychevelle traces its grand château to 1565, its vineyard now covering some 90 hectares on gravel rises above the Gironde in Saint-Julien. Classified a Quatrième Cru Classé in 1855, the estate is instantly recognisable by the dragon-prowed boat on its label and has been jointly owned by Suntory and the Castel family since 2011. Among the great wines of Beychevelle, you will find in particular Chateau Beychevelle 'Amiral de Beychevelle' Saint-Julien Red 2013 and more at The Vintage Wine Club Hong Kong.
