Corsican Wine

Corsica's winemaking history stretches back some 2,500 years to Greek settlers, though its modern appellations are far younger: Patrimonio became the island's first AOC in 1968, followed by the broader Vin de Corse appellation in 1976. Across granite in the north and limestone and schist further south, small estates farm native varieties such as Niellucciu and Vermentino that exist almost nowhere else in the world.
