Chateau Simard

Its name traced to the 15th-century Jurat Johan de Las Symas, who founded the village of Simard, Château Simard was acquired by Claude Mazière in 1954 and has remained in the same family for seven decades. Since 2008 it has been run by his nephew Alain Vauthier, also the proprietor of Premier Grand Cru Classé A Château Ausone, whose stewardship brings first-growth expertise to this accessible, 40-hectare gateway into Saint-Émilion. Among the great wines of Château Simard, you will find in particular the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Red and more at The Vintage Wine Club Hong Kong.
