Saint-Aubin

Long folded into the generic Côte de Beaune-Villages appellation created in 1937, Saint-Aubin was granted its own AOC in 1970, its roughly 150 hectares of vines tucked into a side valley west of Chassagne-Montrachet. Unusually for so small a village, close to 80% of its vineyard area is classified Premier Cru, and its Chardonnay-based whites, grown on soils akin to those of its grander neighbours, have earned Saint-Aubin a reputation as one of Burgundy's best sources of value. Among the great wines of Saint-Aubin, you will find in particular Domaine Francois d'Allaines Saint-Aubin 1er Cru 'Les Frionnes' 2023 and more at The Vintage Wine Club Hong Kong.
