Loire Valley Wine

Flowing nearly 1,000 kilometres from the Massif Central to the Atlantic, the Loire is France's longest river and lends its name to one of the country's most varied wine regions, spanning Muscadet, Anjou, Touraine and the Upper Loire. Quincy became the valley's first AOC in 1936 — the second-oldest appellation in France — while some estates here have grown vines since around 1000 AD.
