Roc des Cambes

Acquired by François Mitjavile in 1988, Château Roc de Cambes sits on a dramatic amphitheatre of vines above the Gironde in Côtes de Bourg, a short distance from Mitjavile's celebrated Tertre Roteboeuf in Saint-Émilion, whose terroir it closely echoes. The estate's 12.5 hectares, planted mostly to old-vine Merlot, were extensively replanted and its 18th-century cellars modernised ahead of the first vintage released in 1998.
