Premiers Grands Crus Classés de Saint-Emilion

The Premiers Grands Crus Classés sit at the top of the Saint-Émilion classification, first established in 1955 and reviewed periodically by the Institut National de l'Origine et de la Qualité (INAO), making it the only Bordeaux classification subject to regular re-evaluation. Estates are assessed on terroir, winemaking and tasting quality, and are divided into two tiers: Premier Grand Cru Classé A, reserved for a handful of the very finest properties, and Premier Grand Cru Classé B.

Saint-Émilion's right-bank terroir, dominated by limestone plateau, clay-limestone slopes and sandy-gravel plains, favours Merlot and Cabernet Franc, producing wines of richness, structure and finesse. At The Vintage Wine Club Hong Kong, our Saint-Émilion range includes Grand Cru Classé estates such as Clos Fourtet, Château Villemaurine, Château Simard, Château de Fonbel and Clos Saint Vincent, spanning current and library vintages. As a trade and private-access wine wholesaler, we source directly from growers and négociants to bring these classified Saint-Émilion estates to collectors, restaurants and private clients in Hong Kong.
