Morey-Saint-Denis

Granted AOC status in 1936, Morey-Saint-Denis is one of the smallest communal appellations of the Côte de Nuits, its roughly 108 hectares tucked between Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny. Despite its modest size it boasts five Grand Cru vineyards — Clos de Tart, Clos des Lambrays, Clos Saint-Denis, Clos de la Roche and a share of Bonnes-Mares — alongside some twenty Premier Cru climats, with growers here noted for blending across multiple premiers crus more freely than their neighbours.
