Domaine Valentin Zusslin has cultivated the same corner of Orschwihr, in Alsace, since 1691, when the Swiss winemaker Jodocus Cislé settled there after the Thirty Years' War; Marie and Jean-Paul Zusslin, who took over in 2000, now represent the thirteenth generation. The 16-hectare estate has been fully biodynamic since 1997, farmed in part with a draft horse and certified by Ecocert and Biodyvin.
