Marcel Deiss

Founded in 1947 and now guided by Jean-Michel and Mathieu Deiss, this Alsace estate farms biodynamically across 38 hectares in six communes, including Bergheim and Ribeauvillé. Rejecting the region's usual single-varietal labelling, Domaine Marcel Deiss champions 'complantation' — co-planting multiple grape varieties within the same parcel — to express terroir over grape, a philosophy central to sites like Berckem and the domaine's five Grand Cru vineyards.
