Gevrey-Chambertin

Granted AOC status in 1936, Gevrey-Chambertin is the largest and northernmost of the great Côte de Nuits communal appellations, its vines covering some 500 hectares around the village that lends the Chambertin name to Burgundy's most celebrated hillside. It boasts nine Grand Cru vineyards, more than any other village in Burgundy, including Chambertin and Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, alongside more than two dozen Premier Cru climats such as Clos Saint-Jacques, producing Pinot Noir once said to be Napoleon's favourite wine. Among the great wines of Gevrey-Chambertin, you will find in particular Chateau de Marsannay Gevrey-Chambertin Red 2020 and Chateau de Marsannay Gevrey-Chambertin 'Vieilles Vignes' Red 2022 and more at The Vintage Wine Club Hong Kong.
