Domaine Jeanne Germain

Founded by Jeanne Germain, a winemaker whose twin passions for wine and horses shaped her journey, this young domaine is bringing a new voice to Saumur-Champigny.

After twelve years dedicated to horsemanship, Jeanne turned to the vineyard and made her first cuvée in 2019, with the help of her Ardennais horses, Ben and Comtesse. With her partner Florent, she now farms 1.7 hectares of vines, working entirely with animal traction to protect the life of the soils.

It is a tiny, artisanal estate, and one of the most exciting discoveries in the Loire Valley today.

The wines of Domaine Jeanne Germain are pure expressions of Cabernet Franc, combining freshness, finesse and a mineral structure that captures the essence of Saumur-Champigny's limestone terroir.

Organic farming, traditional methods and long élevage give cuvées of real elegance and energy: bright red and dark fruit, a gentle herbal touch and a fine, chalky finish.

Production is very limited, and the wines are quickly attracting attention from sommeliers and collectors alike.
