Founded in 1962 by Roger Courrèges on the granite hillsides of Cognocoli-Monticchi in Corsica's Taravo valley, Domaine de Vaccelli has passed through three generations of the same family, from Roger to his son Alain in 1974 and grandson Gérard, an oenologist, in 2000. Farming 20 hectares of the Ajaccio appellation organically since 2008, with vines up to sixty years old and yields kept deliberately low, the estate ages its wines in an underground, granite-insulated cellar.
