Chioso Novo Blanc has a fragrant nose of honey and white flowers, carrying real aromatic persistence and a fine sense of balance. On the palate expect nectar, candied lemon and sweet spice, the Bianco Gentile lending texture and roundness to Vermentino's natural freshness and mineral drive. Sourced from the domaine's oldest vines, it has more concentration and length than a typical entry-level Ajaccio white.
More About The Winery
Like its red counterpart, Chioso Novo Blanc comes from a parcel of old vines at Domaine de Vaccelli, the Courrèges family's estate in the Taravo valley of Corsica, organic since 2008 and certified since 2019. The domaine's whites are fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged gently in large-format, low-toast vessels, an approach designed to protect delicate aromatics while still giving the wine some textural weight. The cuvée is part of Gérard Courrèges' effort to showcase Corsica's rarer native white varieties, such as Bianco Gentile, alongside the more familiar Vermentino.
