Chateau Phelan Segur

Founded by the Irish merchant Bernard Phelan, who acquired the Clos de Garamey in 1805 and Ségur de Cabarnac in 1810 and merged them into a single estate, Château Phélan Ségur has carried his name in Saint-Estèphe ever since. Recognised as one of only nine Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnels in the 2003 revised classification, the 89-hectare property has been owned since 2017 by Belgian entrepreneur Philippe Van de Vyvere, following more than three decades under the Gardinier family.
