  • Terroir: Morey-Saint-Denis
  • Grape: Pinot Noir (100%)
  • Color: Red
  • Farming: Sustainable

100% Pinot Noir, a cuvée made with purchased grapes, harvested by the estate's team on the Clos Solon and Bas Chevevery climats, for a total of 50 ares showing clay-limestone soils. Yields 40 hl/ha. Vinification: all work is done by gravity – cold pre-fermentation maceration with 100% destemmed grapes, indigenous yeasts, some pumping over, and 12 months of maturation in barrels (25% are new oak). Blended in vats, and bottled at the estate.

Tasting notes: Nice expressive nose offering beautiful aromas of small red fruits. The mid-palate is fresh and airy, with mineral noted revealing the Terroir with more limestone. Full-bodied, juicy and precise wine.

Domaine Truchetet is located in the Premeaux-Prissey commune, in the region of Nuits-Saint-Georges and just north of the city of Beaune. It has been in the same family of winemakers for six generations, and recently the baton was passed from father Jean-Pierre to his children Morgan and Julie.

The estate consists of plots with a range of appellations, such as Cotes de Nuits Villages and Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Nuits. Morgan and Julie have spent a lot of time and effort in trying new practices to better care for the vineyard, such as plant and seaweed treatments and organic viticulture.
