Domaine Giudicelli was founded in 1997 by Muriel Giudicelli, a self-taught winemaker who was introduced by fellow Patrimonio grower Antoine Arena to a retiring vigneron’s parcel of old vines, and purchased those first five hectares to start the estate. The domaine has farmed organically since its founding, earning official organic certification in 2006 and Demeter biodynamic certification in 2012. Muriel runs the property with her husband Stéphane, who manages the vines, with the couple’s children now beginning to join the family business.

The estate sits in Patrimonio, on the northern tip of Corsica near the Gulf of Saint-Florent and the hinterland of Cap Corse, with vines centred around Poggio d’Oletta. The property has grown from its original 5 hectares to roughly 10 hectares today, farmed across a genuinely varied terroir for such a small estate: classic Patrimonio clay-limestone hillsides alongside pockets of red and green clay, granite, and schist.

In the cellar, Giudicelli favours minimal intervention — hand harvesting, indigenous-yeast fermentation, no oenological additives beyond minimal sulfur, and vineyard work timed to the lunar calendar. She has cited precision-focused winemakers such as Jean Boxler in Alsace and Maria-Teresa Mascarello in Barolo as inspirations for the exacting, low-intervention style she pursues across both her reds and whites.
