True to Pibarnon's house style, this rose shows a deeper hue and more textural weight than a typical Cotes de Provence pink, thanks to its Mourvedre-led blend. Expect vivid citrus and white-flower aromatics, a bright, saline core, and a mineral, savoury finish that gives it real presence at the table alongside classic Provence freshness.
More About The Winery
Chateau de Pibarnon occupies the highest, northernmost point of the Bandol appellation, with vines planted on terraced restanques over an unusual seam of ancient blue marl and limestone that forces the vines to struggle and concentrates the fruit. Rebuilt from the mid-1970s by Comte Eric de Saint-Victor, the estate is regarded by critics as one of Bandol's benchmark producers, and its rose - made from the same Mourvedre-dominant vineyards as the celebrated red - is considered one of the appellation's standard-bearers.
