Tasting notes

Champagne Tellier “Les Massales” Rosé 2022 is a vibrant, artisanal Extra Brut from a rising grower in Moussy. Crafted from a high-tension blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir, the wine is aged in oak for around eight months and matured on lees for more than 40 months.

The result is a precise, structured rosé Champagne showing bright red berry fruit, citrus peel, and subtle floral notes layered over a chalky, mineral backbone. The palate is energetic and dry, with fine tannins, crisp acidity, and impressive depth. The finish is long, saline, and sharply focused, combining intensity with elegance.

More About The Winery

Domaine Tellier is situated in Moussy, near Epernay, which is located between the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs in the very heart of the Champagne region.

Most of the plots are found midway up the slopes and spread over 5 villages. Each plot reflects a micro-terroir created by its location, topography and soil structure. To make the most of this diversity, they decided to vinify all the plots separately.

Located in Moussy near Épernay, between the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, Champagne Tellier is a rising grower estate at the heart of the region. With 7 hectares in Moussy and Pierry (the historic Domaine des Conardins) and another 2 hectares across Chavot, Fontaine/Aÿ, and Cramant, the domaine farms 13 plots, each vinified separately to showcase its unique terroir.

The vineyards are planted primarily to Pinot Meunier (59%), balanced with Chardonnay (35%) and a touch of Pinot Noir (6%). Deeper soils over chalk in Moussy and Pierry give wines structure and length, while the chalky terroirs of Chavot, Aÿ, and Cramant bring elegance, minerality, and finesse.
