The 2022 vintage of this Premier Cru Pouilly-Fuissé is a brilliant example of balance, precision, and depth. The wine presents a bright golden hue with green reflections, signaling freshness and youth. The nose is refined and layered, offering aromas of white peach, citrus zest, toasted almonds, and subtle notes of flint and vanilla from judicious oak aging.
On the palate, it is generous and structured, with a core of ripe orchard fruit wrapped in a vibrant line of mineral-driven acidity. Hints of brioche, hazelnut, and spice add complexity to the long, elegant finish. This is a harmonious, terroir-driven Chardonnay, capable of aging gracefully for 5–8 years. Francois d'Allaines started his eponymous wine business in 1996 in the village of Demigny in Burgundy. Both winegrower and merchant, he believes in ripe grapes and long aging to reveal all the finesse and magic of the Burgundy terroirs.
