Tasting notes
This wine presents a brilliant pale yellow hue with silvery highlights, showcasing remarkable purity. The nose is open and delicate, unfolding floral notes of white blossoms, acacia honey, and fresh grass, with ripe white peach at the forefront. On the palate, it is generous and well-structured, offering a smooth, rounded texture that leads into a vibrant, aromatic core featuring peach, lime blossom, and a touch of white pepper. A subtle bitterness on the finish enhances the wine’s overall balance and freshness.
More About The Winery
Located in the heart of the northern Rhône, Domaine Yann Chave has built a reputation for producing wines of purity, precision, and finesse. Originally founded by Yann’s parents, the estate took a new direction when Yann Chave left a career in finance to join the family domaine in the 1990s, bringing a fresh vision while preserving tradition.
Today, the estate spans vineyards in Crozes-Hermitage and Hermitage, planted mainly to Syrah, alongside parcels of Marsanne and Roussanne for white wines. Certified organic, the domaine emphasizes meticulous vineyard work, low yields, and minimal intervention in the cellar to craft wines that express the full character of their terroir.
The reds are known for their silky textures, vibrant fruit, and peppery spice, while the whites show balance, freshness, and floral elegance. From the approachable Crozes-Hermitage to the monumental Hermitage Rouge, Yann Chave’s wines are admired by sommeliers and collectors alike.
