Tasting notes:Château Barbeyrolles 'Pétale de Rose' 2021 delights with its delicate pale pink hue reminiscent of rose petals. Its subtle bouquet offers complex notes of red berries, citrus, white flowers, and a hint of peach. On the palate, it's refreshing and full-flavored, with a harmonious balance of strawberry, raspberry, and grapefruit, culminating in a crisp, clean finish.
Located in the Vallée des Esclans, the Côtes de Provence PDO vineyard of Château des Demoiselles, based in La Motte, extends over 72 hectares. Between plains and hillsides, it is planted on red clay-limestone soils following a responsible winemaking approach dear to the teams. The property aims to share the best of the Provence terroir with as many people as possible by producing (mostly) rosé wines, as well as red and white wines.. An alleyway of one-hundred-year-old plane trees leads to the typical Provençal country house, which has now been converted into a charming guesthouse. Since 2007, Aurélie Bertin, daughter of Mr Teillaud, has breathed new life into the estate, applying her modern and wine-tourism vision of the traditional and artisanal winegrowers’ craft, and injected strength and femininity in the château’s DNA.
As a true wine enthusiast, she focuses above all on quality and aims to give, with high standards, a different and authentic personality to each of the Château’s vintages. Well aware of her social responsibilities, Aurélie Bertin, owner of Château des Demoiselles, has embarked the estate on «a transition process towards a more responsible development model and therefore wishes to implement a certified sustainable approach. The estate obtained the VDD label (Vignerons en développement durable – sustainable winemakers)”in April 2021.
