La Coulee de Serrant

First planted with vines by Cistercian monks in 1130, this 7-hectare walled vineyard on the Loire's north bank is one of only a handful of French properties granted its own appellation as a monopole. Now farmed by the Joly family, La Coulée de Serrant has become a reference point for biodynamic viticulture in the Loire Valley, its single-varietal Chenin Blanc built to age for decades.
