Tasting notes
The 2023 Domaine Vincent Bouzereau Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières presents a beautifully refined and expressive profile, opening with aromas of citrus zest, white peach, and delicate honeysuckle layered over subtle notes of toasted hazelnut and fine oak. The palate is taut and focused yet carries a gentle creaminess, supported by vibrant acidity that brings clarity and lift. Its rich texture unfolds with mineral precision, culminating in a long, elegant finish that captures both the power and finesse emblematic of this prestigious Puligny terroir. A poised and sophisticated wine with excellent aging potential.
More About The Winery
Based in the heart of Meursault, Vincent Bouzereau carries on a long family legacy in Burgundy while forging his own path. Nearly 30 years ago, Vincent established his domaine, patiently acquiring and restructuring vineyard plots across the Côte de Beaune, which today spans 18 hectares.
What makes the estate unique is its dedication to massal selection – a traditional technique passed down by Vincent’s father, Pierre. Instead of relying on clones, only the healthiest vines are chosen and propagated, preserving pre-phylloxera vine diversity and enhancing biodiversity, complexity, and authenticity in the wines.
The domaine produces a wide range of 21 wines (10 white and 11 red), from Bourgogne AOC up to Premier Cru and Grand Cru bottlings. While most vineyards are in Meursault, Bouzereau also cultivates parcels in Puligny-Montrachet, Monthélie, Auxey-Duresses, Volnay, Pommard, Beaune, and Corton. Highlights include Meursault 1er Crus, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru, Volnay 1er Cru, and the Corton Grand Cru “Clos des Fietres.”
The style of Vincent Bouzereau is marked by precision, balance, and terroir expression — whites that combine freshness and minerality with depth, and reds that are elegant yet structured.
