An expressive, saline white with aromas of spring flowers, curry leaf and orchard fruit, moving into notes of fresh pear and honey on the nose. The palate delivers real freshness and an elegant, savory bitterness that carries through a long, mineral-tinged finish - a wine built on radiance and balance rather than weight.
More About The Winery
Comte Henri de Saint-Victor bought Chateau de Pibarnon in 1977 after first tasting its wine in a Paris restaurant, and his son Eric - who trained at Chateau Cheval Blanc before taking over winemaking in 1998 - now runs the estate. Perched on Bandol's highest slopes on limestone-rich soil, Pibarnon's cool nights and constant winds preserve acidity and give its wines a distinctive freshness. The domaine farms organically and is widely regarded as one of Bandol's benchmark producers.
