Aromes de Pavie 2020 is powerful and upfront, with a thick layer of liquorice, clove, blueberry and blackberry fruit backed by the estate's signature richness. The palate is dense and generous with ripe, well-covered tannins, offering a more immediate, fruit-forward expression than the grand vin while still carrying real concentration. It is built to drink well over the medium term rather than the decades-long arc of Chateau Pavie itself.
More About The Winery
Chateau Pavie occupies one of Saint-Emilion's most celebrated south-facing limestone slopes, with vines said to date back to Roman times. Gerard Perse acquired the estate in 1998 and drove a period of intensive replanting and modernisation that helped propel Pavie to Premier Grand Cru Classe A status in the 2012 classification, the appellation's top tier. Since 2018, Aromes de Pavie has been vinified from a specific 11-hectare parcel as a distinct bottling rather than a traditional second label, giving it its own identity within the Pavie stable.
