Located in Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Domaine Frédéric Mabileau has become one of the Loire Valley’s most admired producers of Cabernet Franc, renowned for purity, elegance, and terroir-driven expression. Founded by Frédéric Mabileau in the late 1980s, the estate grew to encompass 28 hectares across St-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil, Bourgueil, Saumur, and Anjou. Since Frédéric’s passing in 2020, his wife Nathalie and sons Charly and Rémy have carried forward his vision with passion and precision.
The domaine has been certified Organic since 2007 and Biodynamic since 2018, producing wines that highlight the true character of each terroir. Fermentations rely solely on native yeasts, enhancing authenticity and sense of place. In 2019, the family expanded with a parcel of Chenin Blanc in Montsoreau, adding a new dimension to their range.
Recognized worldwide for their refined Cabernet Francs, including cuvées like Les Rouillères and Eclipse, these wines are celebrated for their balance of freshness, complexity, and minerality. They embody the Mabileau family’s belief that great wines are born in healthy, living soils.
