More About The Winery
Château Le Bruilleau is a family-owned estate located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation, south of Bordeaux. The vineyard benefits from classic gravelly soils over clay and limestone, a hallmark of the region that provides excellent drainage and contributes to the elegance and structure of the wines.
The estate focuses on traditional Bordeaux varieties. The reds are typically dominated by Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller proportions of Cabernet Franc, producing wines that combine ripe fruit, freshness, and refined tannins. White wines, when produced, are based on Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, offering aromatic precision and mineral tension.
Viticulture is carried out with careful parcel management and controlled yields to preserve balance and terroir expression. In the cellar, vinification is precise and gentle, followed by ageing in French oak barrels to add complexity while maintaining purity of fruit. Château Le Bruilleau wines are known for their classic Pessac-Léognan character, combining structure, freshness, and elegant smoky notes typical of the appellation.
