Tasting notes
The nose reveals enticing aromas of red fruits and delicate spices, setting the tone for a fruity, juicy, and well-balanced palate. This wine is both gourmand and elegant, with remarkable precision and a harmonious interplay of sweetness and freshness. While it is approachable in its youth, it will continue to evolve gracefully, drinking beautifully over the next 8–10 years, with an overall aging potential of 15–20 years.
More About The Winery
Domaine Morgan Truchetet is a small, family-run estate based in Prémeaux-Prissey, just south of Nuits-Saint-Georges in the Côte de Nuits. Morgan Truchetet, alongside his sister Julie, represents the sixth generation of the family and took over the domaine in 2019, bringing a fresh, terroir-focused and low-intervention approach to both vineyard and cellar.
The estate spans around 6 hectares, planted mainly to Pinot Noir with smaller parcels of Chardonnay and Aligoté. The vineyards are located across Bourgogne, Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, Côte de Nuits-Villages, and villages including Nuits-Saint-Georges, Morey-Saint-Denis, and Gevrey-Chambertin. Farming follows organic principles, with meticulous vineyard work, low yields, and a strong emphasis on vine health and soil expression.
Winemaking is precise and minimalist, using indigenous yeasts, gentle extraction, and a careful, restrained use of oak to preserve purity and freshness. The wines are known for their elegance, vibrant fruit, and fine tannic structure, reflecting a modern yet classic interpretation of Côte de Nuits terroirs.
