Tasting notes:The colour is a beautiful, dense, deep ruby red. On the nose, beautiful aromas of red fruits: blackcurrant, blackberry and a slight note of liquorice. The mouth is greedy, well structured, full of red fruits and some spices.

Domaine Yves Leccia is located on the island of beauty, in Poghju d’Oletta and is part of the Patrimonio appellation. Leccia, located at the gates of the Mediterranean, has a clay-limestone terroir in the hills of E Croce and Partinelone.

DOMAINE LECCIA, WINEMAKER GENERATION AFTER GENERATION

Coming from a large family of winemakers, Yves Leccia naturally turned to oenology for his studies. In 1980, he graduated and spent a few years working in the family field. Today, Lisandru and Annette Leccia, the son and sister of Yves, manage the 13 ha vineyard near the Gulf of Saint-Florent. In 2004, Yves Leccia left the family estate to create his own domain: Domaine Yves Leccia, in collaboration with his wife Sandrine. He is also president of AVA Corsica and of the Scientific and Technical Wine Committee.

LECCIA PATRIMONIO: LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT BALANCE

The Leccia vineyard is followed closely, in a perfect balance tradition and modernity that perpetuates itself from generation to generation. The work of the vine is mainly focused on respect for the environment and minimal mechanisation. Bottling is done directly at the estate, followed by a breeding of 6 to 18 months depending on the cuvées. The vineyards of the estate Yves Leccia are traditionally worked, while being ploughed and mechanically paved. Thus, Yves Leccia was able to avoid the use of herbicides and allowed to pass his vineyard into organic farming certified Ecocert.
