Tasting notes

The 2020 Clos Saint-Vincent offers notes of blackberry, cassis, and black fruit on the nose, with a palate that is juicy, balanced, and fruity, showing red-fruited complexity with undertones of spice, licorice, and potentially coffee or floral hints. It features supple, well-integrated tannins, providing good acidity and length, and a full-bodied, dense profile.

More About The Winery

Clos Saint Vincent is a small, terroir-focused property located in Saint-Émilion on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. The vineyard is planted on classic clay and limestone soils, ideal for Merlot, which forms the backbone of the wines, complemented by Cabernet Franc. This terroir brings both richness and freshness, giving the wines structure, elegance, and ageing potential.

The estate follows a careful, quality-driven approach in the vineyard, with controlled yields, precise canopy management, and harvesting at optimal maturity. The focus is on expressing the purity of fruit and the identity of the Saint-Émilion terroir while maintaining balance and finesse.

Winemaking is traditional and precise, with temperature-controlled fermentations and gentle extraction to preserve texture and aromatic complexity. Ageing in French oak barrels adds depth and structure without overpowering the fruit. Clos Saint Vincent produces classic Saint-Émilion wines, known for their ripe dark fruit, supple tannins, and refined, elegant finish.
