Tasting notes
The 2022 Chablis Blanchot Grand Cru, sourced from 30–35-year-old vines planted mid-slope, is a wine of remarkable depth and complexity. The nose unfolds with precision, offering layered aromas of Granny Smith apple, struck flint, oyster shell, and a delicate hint of seaweed, all of which deepen beautifully with time in the glass.
On the palate, it is elegantly balanced, with a fine thread of acidity and a touch more weight and volume than the Bougros. While it may not reach the same ethereal level of minerality, it compensates with substance, poise, and aging potential.
A refined and age-worthy Grand Cru, destined to evolve gracefully over the next decade or more.
