The 2022 Mambourg Grand Cru is a compelling field blend of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Auxerrois, grown on one of Alsace’s warmest terroirs. The nose opens with evocative notes of smoked hay, hinting at depth and complexity. On the palate, the wine surprises with its fluidity and finesse, far more slender than the aromatic profile suggests. It displays a silky texture, with layers of waxy richness, pleasant bitterness, and a signature smoky character, all guided by a cool, mineral backbone. A wine of quiet power and remarkable direction.
