“A 100% Chardonnay cuvée from grapes purchased at Domaine Gerbeaut, on the Meursault plain. Sustainable farming. The grapes are harvested by hand. Vinification: direct pressing then transfer by gravity into barrels (25% new oak) for alcoholic and malolactic fermentation and maturation on the lees for one year without racking or stirring. Domaine Truchetet is located in the Premeaux-Prissey commune, in the region of Nuits-Saint-Georges and just north of the city of Beaune. It has been in the same family of winemakers for six generations, and recently the baton was passed from father Jean-Pierre to his children Morgan and Julie.
The estate consists of plots with a range of appellations, such as Cotes de Nuits Villages and Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Nuits. Morgan and Julie have spent a lot of time and effort in trying new practices to better care for the vineyard, such as plant and seaweed treatments and organic viticulture.
