Lampe de Méduse is the signature cuvee of Château Sainte Roseline.

The Lampe de Méduse from Château Sainte Roseline, a First Classified Growth of 1955 in the Provence region, is a wine steeped in history and housed in a bottle with a particular shape. First created in 1950 by the Baroness Rasque of Laval, the Lampe de Méduse wine takes its name from the Knights of Medusa, a prestigious brotherhood working for the promotion of Provence wines, born in 1690. Before being inducted, the Knights of Medusa used to "Lamper le vin", meaning "to drink a large amount of wine in one stroke".

Tasting notes:Pretty pale pink with a heady scent of summer berries, wild herbs and a touch of sea spray. A dry and slightly textured Rose made from the classic Provence grapes Grenache, Mourvedre and Cinsault.

We advise you to serve this wine between 12 and 14°C. To be enjoyed as an aperitif, with summer dishes such as grilled fish, summer salads, white meats and topped with parmiggiano reggiano.

89 / 100 Parker

A blend of 40% Grenache, 35% Cinsault, 20% Mourvèdre and 5% Tibouren, the 2020 Cotes de Provence Rose Lampe de Meduse delivers notes of strawberries, fresh herbs, underripe peaches and citrus. It's medium-bodied, with a gently silky feel on the palate and a crisp, lingering finish.

Chateau Sainte Roseline enjoys an exceptional location on the French Riviera. Located between Cannes and Saint Tropez, it is one of the most renowned wine estates in Provence.

This prestigious estate, which boasts the title of Site and Cru Classé and is one of the few AOP Cotes de Provence, was awarded Cru Classé in 1955. Since then, they have been producing fine and balanced wines in all three colours. But if there is one wine that has made the reputation of the château, it is the Lampe de Méduse. This wine with its unique and iconic shape embodies the history of the house.
