Region : Provence - France
Blend: 90% Mourvèdre / 10% Grenache
Area: 25 hectares of terraced vineyards on high slopes, very low yield
Farming: Organic (certified in 2019) with some biodynamic principles.
A model of balance on the palate, fresh, full-bodied and silky. It is still quite young, but already its boldness is palpable, its desire to open up tangible. Its finish, marked by a subtle return to liquorice, is a clear indication of its origin and harmonious development.
Vineyard: planted on very old Triassic soil, characterised by a very high level of limestone. This limestone favours the development of bouquet in the wines, and allows the extraction of very fine, elegant tannins.
This cuvée is made up of 12 main plots, all located on the heights of the estate: Bel Air, Jourdan, Pointes-Blanches, le Cirque... This high altitude of the plots means cool nights and slow ripening of the grapes.
Vinification: fermentation is followed by a very long vatting period (around 3 weeks) before the wine is run off. Aged in oak tuns for 20 months. The tuns are 100% renewed. Diversification in the choice of coopers and tuns of different ages enables us to best adapt the ageing process to each of the terroirs.
