100% Sauvignon from 45-year-old vines farmed biodynamically and planted on a small plot of Portland limestone soil. The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified naturally, with 6 months of maceration in barrels that have seen several wines, gentle pressing, then 6 months of maturation in the same barrels. Bottled at the estate in October 2022 after a light filtration, with just a microdose of sulphur to protect the wine, for a total SO2 of 35 mg/l.

From the “normal white” color in the glass, you might not guess that this was an orange wine, but once you start on it you’ll get it. Concentrated bead of red-peach and spicy flavors and plenty of drive though the medium-bodied palate. Structured and slightly tannic, as befits the category. From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Lots of character. Hard not to like this. Enjoy now.100% Sauvignon Blanc.
Located on the right bank of the Loire river, the Domaine du Bouchot was the first area certified organic farming AOP Pouilly Fumé in 2009. Its 10 hectares of vines from the Sauvignon grape are planted on the south-west side of the hill from the village of Saint Andelain, the soils are mainly clay and limestone from the Kimmeridgian era. The configuration of the estate, isolated in the center of its vineyards, allows a very precise biodynamic work, the vinifications that follow are done with a very little intervention and the wines produced express the finesse of a preserved terroir.
2018 marks the arrival of Antoine Gouffier, young winemaker and child of the village, who takes over from the Kerbiquet family with great energy. By going around the world, this backpacker decided, like Ulysses, to return home. After 12 years between New York, California, Argentina, Africa and the Middle East, between trade, commerce and catering, he still had to settle in an area. His young wife helped him there. Soon she will be part of the affair.
