“Juicy wine with fresh flavours of berries. It gives you a sense of a direct link to the terroir.”
Aromas of red and dark berries and violets lead into a rich and expressive palate. The good integration of oak and the medium weight of the wine all add to its enjoyment.
Story:The name 'Les Chaillots' refers to the stony ground in which the vines grow, a vineyard planted between 1955–1981 which is full of clay and limestone soils.
Domaine Truchetet is located in the Premeaux-Prissey commune, in the region of Nuits-Saint-Georges and just north of the city of Beaune. It has been in the same family of winemakers for six generations, and recently the baton was passed from father Jean-Pierre to his children Morgan and Julie.
The estate consists of plots with a range of appellations, such as Cotes de Nuits Villages and Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Nuits. Morgan and Julie have spent a lot of time and effort in trying new practices to better care for the vineyard, such as plant and seaweed treatments and organic viticulture.
