This bottle keeps the caracteristics of Meursault with a touch of minerality and a richer structure.
Tasting notes: The nose is powerful and well-balanced. The mouth has subtle white flowers, fresh butter and dry fruits notes, with citrus finale and a nice structure.
Story: This cuvée is a blend of three parcels located in the lieu-dit « Les Narvaux ». One of them which was abandonned because of the phylloxera was entirely cleared and re-planted by Vincent’s father in the 1970’s. Les Narvaux are always vinified apart from our other Meursault village cuvées since the location is particularly good and famous.
Vincent and Aline are both native Burgundians, very attached to their family and conscious of the rich and cherished heritage they have received from their predecessors. It is this heritage that they wish to transmit to their children, from the work of the vine to the production of the wine, aware that each bunch of grapes remains a gift from nature, a gift from God.
Vincent’s heart is in Meursault, not far from its church tower, where he grew up and learned from his father and grandfather the winemaker’s craft. It is in this village that since 1990, with the aid of his wife, Aline, he has practiced his trade with passion. Vincent’s energy and determination allowed them to acquire multiple new parcels along the way, in addition to the family vines passed down to him from his parents.
Based in Meursault, on the Burgundian Côte de Beaune, the domaine’s holdings cover ten hectares, dispersed among 8 villages: Aloxe-Corton, Puligny-Montrachet, Monthélie, Auxey-Duresses, Volnay, Pommard, Beaune and on the little mountain of Corton. While the original vineyards have been in the family for generations, Vincent and Aline have developed the domaine’s holdings through the methodical acquisition of parcels. In this way, new appellations have gradually made their appearance on the list of wines over the years.
Everything begins in the vines, and Vincent loves his work there throughout the year: winter pruning, subsoiling treatments, working the soil in the spring, attaching the branches, pulling weeds, de-budding, vine training, replacing the dead rootstock, repairing stakes and wires, trimming the branches, green pruning if necessary, and sustainable spraying, remaining always at the vine’s disposal: a full itinerary of work to accomplish!
