Purple rim, limpid. Nose, complex and highly appealing, toasted notes of toast, to black fruit (blackcurrant). This entry is elegant, fine and racey. The palate is fat, long and powerful. It is very fresh and onctuous in the mouth, this reveals sweetness is perfectly balanced by acidity. Ends with a lingering finish. This is a wine with plenty of expression.
Story: Moulin de Citran is the second wine of the Chateau Citran stemmed from the same parcels as the first wine, it is made according to traditional methods. Offering a harmonious and well balanced structure to the palate. Moulin de Citran vintage 2010 has intensity and elegance
This is the second wine of well-known Haut Médoc Château Citran. The owners, the Meurlaut family, are stewards of several other châteaux including such great names as Gruaud-Larose and Chasse-Spleen. As is typical, the estate has a majority of Cabernet Sauvignon, but this wine favours more Merlot to give a more open style and is more approachable.
