Their first vintage, 2018, came from just half a hectare of old vines in Ried Höll and Ried Bach. Today the family tends just over two hectares of steep, hand-worked dry-stone terraces across four sites – Achleiten and Klaus in Weißenkirchen, Bach and Höll in Wösendorf – within the UNESCO World Heritage landscape of the Danube valley. The estate's logo shows five zodiac animals encircling the family name \"Chan\" in Chinese.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe wines are made by Christoph Donabaum, with Markus Skopek in charge of the vineyards. The estate has been certified sustainable since 2019 and joined Vinea Wachau, the region's quality growers' association, that same year. Wines rest on their fine lees, are bottled unfiltered and are released only after time in bottle.
